It would be a shame for ACAP to lose funding. By reading the comments section on the CBC website you wouldn't get the feeling that most people agree. One person showed a great link at http://atlantic-web1.ns.ec.gc.ca/community/acap/default.asp?lang=En&n=9B42B822&offset=1&toc=show..

There are huge economic benefits for these groups. They provide many summer jobs for university and college students.
